​Prescribing Policy
Please note that our Doctors do not prescribe Schedule 8 drugs on the first consultation.
Additionally, all Doctors in our surgery contact the Drugs of Dependence Unit before prescribing Schedule 8 drugs. S8 drugs are prescribed only in compliance with the current regulations.
 
Test Results
If your Doctor requests any form of testing such as Pathology or Radiology, please book another appointment within 2-3 days of the test date to discuss the results with your Doctor. Reception staff are NOT AUTHORISED to communicate test results with Patients.  Hard copies of results can only be given to patients after they have consulted with their doctor.

Appointment and Clinical Reminders
SMS text messages are sent for appointment confirmation and clinical reminders to your mobile phone.  Please ensure the practice has your correct details.
 
After Hours Care  
After hours care is available through National Home Doctor Service. 13SICK (13 7425)
 
Aggressive Behaviour
Verbal and/or physical abuse of our staff will not be tolerated. Any person displaying inappropriate behaviour will be asked to leave the Practice. The person may also be banned from the Practice at the discretion of the Doctor or OceanMed Management.
