Dr Javier Campuzano
FRAGP, Dip CLinical Epidemiology Doctor Javier Campuzano graduated from the National University of Colombia in 2001, he practiced General Medicine and Emergency Medicine for a period of four years before moving to Australia.
He achieved a Diploma degree in clinical Epidemiology at University of Newcastle in New South Wales in 2006, he also trained with the Australian College of Physicians from 2006 (in the speciality of acute care and general internal medicine) for seven years in John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Gold Coast Hospital in Queensland, successfully completing the Specialist Fellowship examinations of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2012 (R.A.C.P.) before deciding to return to General Practice in 2013 and obtaining his R.A.C.G.P. Fellowship in 2016. As a General Practitioner, Dr Campuzano has interests in General Paediatrics, General Internal Medicine and Adolescent Health. He also has a wide experience providing care for patients with chronic conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Endocrine Disorders, Chronic Heart Conditions, Diabetes, Obesity and Autoimmune disorders amongst others in the adult and paediatric population. Dr Campuzano has been a visiting doctor to several aged care facilities and has performed as a Supervisor to Medical Students from Bond and Griffith Universities. He believes that it is quite important to explain to patients their medical conditions with analogies they can understand and apply to their daily life. He is also a keen advocate for lifestyle changes to improve a range of medical conditions which he likes to simplify for patients so they can have achievable goals in a realistic way. Outside of work Dr Campuzano likes to play music, Piano and Guitar and enjoys spending time with his family. |
Dr Yamile Edid Caro Avila
Click hereDr. Avila has over 20 years experience in General Practice, having attained her Medical Degree in 1999. In 2005, Dr. Avila began to live in Australia permanently, originally in New South Wales, before moving to Queensland in 2010 where she has remained since.
Dr. Avila has a keen interest in all aspects of General Practice but especially enjoys practicing and engaging in Women and Children's Health, Family Planning, Paediatrics, Mental Health and Geriatrics. In addition, she has a strong passion for Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Avila takes great pride in working within our community and is happy to offer any help or advice you or your family may need. Dr Avila has recently completed the Specialist Fellowship examinations of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and will be in the clinic on a full time basis. |
